Nebula TV back-end
The Nebula TV back-end is an all-in- one product that serves the Nebula TX and MX solutions (One shared back-end for TX and MX clients, one CMS) to create an enhanced, scalable and reliable state-of-the-art TV platform. Besides core TV platform functionality (e.g. live streaming, nPvR, catch-up and start-over TV, sVoD, tVod, fVoD, recordings management and DRM) it also includes concept for delivering a better user experience like reminders, easy content discovery and push to TV functionality, universal search, recommendations, ads & promotions, favorites and recently watched content. The Nebula C-SON (Centralized Self Organizing Network) solution is an implementation on top of the Nebula architecture. It contains Wi-Fi management functions to optimize the performance of in-Home Wi-Fi networks (e.g. avoiding Wi-Fi spectrum congestion) taking into account all parameters from connected front-end devices (RGWs, APs, Cable Gateways, etc.) collected by the Nebula system. In this way the required group and cluster view as well as longer term trending aspects (multi-hour and multi-days views) are monitored by the Nebula C-SON to better manage the in-Home Wi-Fi networks. Nebula C-SON makes it also easier to link to MSO OSS/BSS and customer care systems.
